A Six Days Online Faculty Development Program on “AI and Quantum Computing: Glimpsing Near the Future” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Sri Sairam Engineering College, under the sponsorship of AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL) from 20th January 2025 to 25th January 2025. The program commenced with an inaugural session on 20th January 2025 and concluded with a valedictory session on 25th January 2025. The FDP focused on emerging trends in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing, offering valuable academic and research-oriented insights to faculty participants and enhancing their understanding of futuristic computing technologies.
A One Week National Level Faculty Development Program on AI Tools was organized by Sri Sairam Engineering College in association with industry and innovation partners from 17th to 21st February 2025. The program was conducted in online mode during the evening hours and aimed to familiarize faculty members, non-teaching staff, and working professionals with emerging AI tools and their practical applications in teaching, research, and industry. The sessions provided valuable insights into human-like AI systems, innovative AI practices, and hands-on exposure to modern AI-driven technologies, enhancing participants’ technical competence and digital readiness.
A One Week National Level Workshop on Application Development with AI & Essential Skills was conducted by Sri Sairam Engineering College from 28th April to 2nd May 2025. The workshop focused on integrating artificial intelligence with application development while strengthening essential technical skills. Designed for students, faculty members, and AI enthusiasts, the sessions covered practical approaches to building intelligent applications, industry-relevant tools, and certification-oriented learning. The workshop effectively enhanced participants’ understanding of AI-driven development and encouraged innovation-oriented thinking.
The EDU-PLAN: National Level Faculty Development Program on Generative AI was organized by Sri Sairam Engineering College from 4th to 8th August 2025, conducted online between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The program was exclusively designed for faculty members to enhance their understanding of Generative AI concepts, tools, and applications in academics and research. In continuation, the International Career Development Program on SDG, ESG, and Industry Innovations was conducted from 15th to 19th September 2025, during 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. This program catered to students, professionals, and researchers, focusing on sustainable development goals, environmental, social, and governance practices, and emerging industry innovations. Together, the EDU-PLAN initiatives provided participants with comprehensive exposure to advanced technologies and global career-oriented perspectives.
A three-day Industry Collaborated Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was conducted from 05 July 2023 to 07 July 2023 focusing on ATAL Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) and the diverse uses of Deep Learning Toolkits. Organized in association with the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, the programme featured expert sessions by industry professionals from LTIMindtree, offering valuable insights into innovation rankings, artificial intelligence, and deep learning applications. The FDP enhanced participants’ understanding of contemporary industry practices and emerging technologies, contributing to academic and research enrichment.
A two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was conducted on 21 and 22 August 2023 with the aim of enhancing the academic and professional competencies of faculty members. The programme offered valuable insights into innovative teaching–learning practices, recent developments in higher education, and effective strategies for research and academic excellence. Expert sessions and interactive discussions enabled participants to gain practical perspectives that support continuous professional development and improved instructional quality.
An ISTE sponsored Short Term Training Programme on Deep Learning Tools and Its Applications was conducted by the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College, from 25 July 2022 to 29 July 2022. The programme aimed to provide participants with insights into deep learning concepts, tools, and their real-world applications. Resource persons from industry and academia delivered expert sessions covering both theoretical foundations and practical perspectives. The programme effectively enhanced participants’ understanding of emerging deep learning technologies and their applications in various domains.
