A Problem Solving & Ideation Workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with the Department of M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering and the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), Sri Sairam Engineering College, on 19th and 20th February 2025, from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at VRR Hall, Sri Sairam Engineering College. The two-day workshop focused on fostering innovative thinking, structured problem-solving approaches, and ideation techniques among students and faculty. The sessions encouraged participants to explore startup-oriented ideas, understand real-world challenges, and develop innovative solutions, thereby strengthening the institution’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem.
A Placement Orientation Event titled “Placement Sprint: Racing Towards Job Opportunities” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with IEEE TEMS SBC and Build HR. The session was delivered by Mr. Lakshmi Narayan NJ, Executive Director, BuildHR Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd. The programme focused on preparing students for placement opportunities by providing insights into industry expectations, recruitment processes, and essential employability skills. The event proved beneficial in enhancing students’ awareness and readiness for upcoming career opportunities.
A two-day workshop on Full Stack Development was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with IEEE TEMS SBC and the Skill Development Club. The programme focused on providing participants with practical and conceptual knowledge of full stack technologies. The sessions were led by Mr. Vijayakeerthi, CEO, and Mr. Aravind, Software Developer from Data DNA, who shared industry-oriented insights and hands-on experience. The workshop enhanced participants’ understanding of front-end and back-end development practices, tools, and real-world application scenarios.
A one-day interactive event titled “Mentor Minds: Mentoring for Aspiring Entrepreneurs” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and IEEE TEMS. The session was led by Ms. Sujaya Rao, Co-Founder of TEENR and a Startup Mentor. The event aimed to inspire and guide aspiring entrepreneurs by providing insights into entrepreneurship, innovation, and startup mentoring. Through interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions, participants gained valuable perspectives on entrepreneurial thinking and startup development.
An International Level Student Workshop on Data Science and Machine Learning was conducted from 19th to 23rd February 2024 under the Brainovision initiative. The five-day programme commenced on 19.02.2024 with an inaugural session led by Mr. Buddha Chandrasekhar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, who emphasized India’s vision towards technology-driven education and innovation. The workshop covered key areas such as Data Science fundamentals, Python programming, data manipulation and visualization, data analysis using Pandas, and Machine Learning concepts including supervised and unsupervised learning. The sessions concluded on 23.02.2024 with practical implementation using Scikit-Learn and a valedictory ceremony. Participants appreciated the interactive sessions and gained strong foundational and applied knowledge in data analytics and machine learning.
A Workshop on Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems on 4th March 2024 at Beta Hall, targeting second-year CSBS students. The session was delivered by Mr. Laven Lokesh Barani, Founder of Planet Green Inertia, who shared practical insights into modern digital marketing strategies and entrepreneurial practices. The workshop covered essential topics such as digital marketing fundamentals, SEO and SEM, social media marketing, content creation, analytics, and startup planning. Participants also gained exposure to real-world case studies and sustainable business models. The workshop successfully enhanced students’ understanding of digital platforms and entrepreneurial decision-making in today’s competitive business environment.
The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, organized a hands-on workshop on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) on 25 April 2024 at the CSBS Lab for III-year CSBS students. The session was led by Mr. Mohammed Sameer, Module Lead and Cloud Expert at Aspire Systems Pvt. Ltd. The workshop provided practical exposure to core GCP services, including virtual machine creation, cloud storage solutions, and database management. Participants gained hands-on experience with real-time demonstrations, enabling them to understand cloud infrastructure, resource management, and best practices for deploying scalable applications on Google Cloud.
A one-day Microsoft Power BI Workshop was conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems on 27 April 2024 at Gamma Hall for II-year CSBS students. The workshop was handled by Mr. R. Sathya Ramesh, Lead Engineer, Unlimited Innovation, and Mr. A. Jesu Jobim Jaspon, Data Engineer–Consultant, Deloitte. The session covered data import, transformation, data modeling using DAX, and creation of interactive dashboards. Students gained practical insights into business analytics and data visualization techniques, enhancing their ability to derive meaningful insights and make data-driven decisions.
A three-day Workshop on Angular JS with TypeScript was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College, in association with the SSEC IEEE TEM Society SBC. The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge of modern web application development using Angular JS and TypeScript. Industry experts Mr. Suresh Veera Raghavan, Director, Paxel Techno Labs India Pvt. Ltd., and Mr. Soorya V, Project Lead at R Systems, served as resource persons and shared valuable insights through hands-on sessions. The programme enhanced participants’ understanding of front-end frameworks, real-time application development, and industry-relevant best practices.
A Workshop on Mobile Application Development was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College. The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical insights into mobile application design and development concepts. The sessions were handled by Mr. Suganth P V and Mr. Abinesh S, Founders of Revamp Academy, who shared their industry experience and practical approaches to mobile app development. The programme offered valuable exposure to current tools, techniques, and best practices, benefiting participants by enhancing their technical knowledge and application development skills.
A Workshop and Hands-on Training on Web Development with Latest Technologies was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College. The programme aimed to enhance participants’ practical knowledge of modern web development tools and technologies. The session was led by Mr. E. Vimal Raj, Senior Software Developer from 8 Queens Software Development Company, Chennai, who shared industry-oriented insights and hands-on experience. The workshop provided valuable exposure to current web development practices, enabling participants to strengthen their technical skills and industry readiness.
A three-day Workshop on Cloud Insights was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College, in association with Paxel and the Skill Development Club, and was conducted from 23 January 2023 to 25 January 2023 at the Hands-on Training Center. The workshop was led by Mr. Suresh Veeraraghavan, Vice President, Paxel Technolabs India Private Limited, who provided valuable insights into cloud computing concepts and their practical applications. The programme emphasized hands-on learning and helped participants gain industry-relevant knowledge in cloud technologies.
A Workshop on Entrepreneurship Skill, Attitude and Behaviour Development was organized by MoE’s Institution Innovation Council in association with the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems, Sairam Engineering College, on 08 February 2023 (Wednesday) at Smartclass 2. The session was delivered by Dr. K. S. Kamaludeen, Managing Director of Blue Bharath Exim Pvt. Ltd. and Founder & CEO of B-Accuracy Infotech (ERP Software). The workshop focused on nurturing entrepreneurial skills, positive attitudes, and professional behaviour among participants, offering valuable insights into innovation, leadership, and real-world business practices.
A Hands-on Training on Power BI Essentials was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems in association with IEEE TEMS SSEC at Sairam Engineering College on 2nd and 3rd March 2023, from 9:00 AM to 4:10 PM, at the CSBS Lab. The training session was conducted by Mr. Vignesh Sriram, Senior DevOps Engineer, DHL IT Services. The programme focused on imparting practical knowledge of Power BI tools, data visualization techniques, and business intelligence concepts. Participants gained hands-on experience and valuable insights into creating interactive dashboards and data-driven reports, enhancing their analytical and industry-relevant skills.
