DAY 1 – INAUGRATION & WORKSHOPS

The much-anticipated FIKRA’23 – Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit kicked off with an impressive inaugural ceremony graced by the esteemed Ms. Rajalakshmi Srinivasan, Director of Product Management at Zoho Corporation, and Mr. Vijayakeerthi Jayakumar, Founder & CEO of DataDNA. The ceremony was an illustrious affair, witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mr. Vijayakeerthi and our Department of Computer Science and Business Systems. The event was presided over by our dynamic and energetic principal, Dr. K. Porkumaran, along with the presence of Dr. M. Ananthi, the Head of the Department (HoD) and Chapter Advisor for IEEE TEMS SBC.

The first day of FIKRA’23 was brimming with enlightening talks and experiences centered around entrepreneurship for social innovation. Ms. Rajalakshmi and Mr. Vijayakeerthi shared valuable insights, setting the tone for the summit.

Following these insightful discussions, participants eagerly delved into Business Model and Pitching Technology workshops facilitated by Mr. Suresh Veeraraghavan, Director of Paxel Technolabs. He provided real-time, in-depth information, igniting entrepreneurial thoughts among the attendees.

The concluding day of FIKRA’23 was graced by the esteemed presence of Mr. Bharathiraja Thangappalam, CEO of Touchmark Descience, who served as the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony. His insights added a valuable touch to the culmination of this inspiring summit.

The highlight of the day was the Business Idea Pitching sessions, featuring an esteemed jury panel consisting of industry experts, Mr. Vijayakeerthi Jayakumar, Mr. John Kiran, Mr. Joel Andrews, Mr. Muthuvel Arumugam and Mr. Balamurugan.

These respected panelists provided invaluable insights and supportive opinions, contributing to the constructive evaluation of the innovative business ideas presented during the session.
